Türkiye’s benchmark stock index up at open
BIST 100 index earns 26.4 points at opening session

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye’s benchmark stock index, BIST 100, saw an increase of 0.28% or 26.43 points to open Friday’s trading at 8.888,51 points.
On Thursday, the index dropped by 1.58%, ending the day at 8,863.88 points, with a daily transaction volume of 66 billion Turkish liras ($1.94 billion).
As of 10.20 a.m. local time (0720 GMT), the exchange rate for the US dollar against the Turkish lira (USD/TRY) stood at 34.3190, while the euro/Turkish lira (EUR/TRY) exchange rate was at 37.3605, and the British pound/Turkish lira (GBP/TRY) rate was at 44.2550.
In commodities, the ounce price of gold was at $2,750.66, while Brent crude oil was trading at around $74 per barrel.
