Türkiye's BIST 100 closes midweek in the red

Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Wednesday at 9,830.94 points, falling 0.90% from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 dropped 89.67 points with a daily trading volume of 72 billion Turkish liras ($2.14 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,489.10, while Brent crude oil sold for around $80.22 per barrel as of 6.26 p.m. local time (1526GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 33.5791, the euro/lira exchange rate 37.0250, and the British pound traded at 43.1235 liras.
