Türkiye's BIST 100 closes midweek looking down

Türkiye's benchmark stock index closed Wednesday at 10,350.96 points, down 0.13% from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 lost 13.60 points from Tuesday's close of 10,364.56 points.

The total market value of BIST 100 was around 8.6 trillion liras ($271.8 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 108 billion liras ($3.31 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,371.70, while Brent crude oil sold for around $77.84 per barrel as of 6.56 p.m. local time (1556GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 32.2814, the euro/lira exchange rate 35.1089, and the British pound traded at 41.2129 liras.
