Türkiye's BIST 100 closes midweek looking down

Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Wednesday at 10,991.57 points, down 0.88% from the previous close.

Extending its loses to a second session, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 fell 97.96 points with a daily trading volume of 101 billion Turkish liras ($3.07 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,423.65, while Brent crude oil sold for around $81.97 per barrel as of 7.04 p.m. local time (1604GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 32.8465, the euro/lira exchange rate was at 35.6762, and the British pound traded at 42.4511 liras
