Türkiye's BIST 100 closes Thursday on high note

Türkiye's benchmark stock index finished Thursday at 8,946.13 points, rising 0.95% from the previous close.

After starting the day at 8,647.94 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 83.81 points with a daily transaction volume of 80 billion liras ($2.32 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,704.50, while Brent crude oil sold for around $74.42 per barrel as of 6.39 p.m. local time (1539GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 34.2560, the euro/lira exchange rate was 37.1676, and the British pound traded at 44.5210 liras.
