Türkiye's BIST 100 closes Thursday on high note

Türkiye's benchmark stock index finished Thursday at 9,420.42 points, hiking 1.29% from the previous close.

After starting the day at 9,354.28 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 120.12 points with a daily transaction volume of 88 billion liras ($2.59 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,565.85, while Brent crude oil sold for around $73.14 per barrel as of 6.04 p.m. local time (1504GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 34.3501, the euro/lira exchange rate was 36.3637, and the British pound traded at 43.5825 liras.
