Türkiye's BIST 100 closes Thursday with gains

Türkiye's benchmark stock index closed Thursday at 9,914.68 points, hiking 1.38% from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 135.10 points with a daily transaction volume of 101.7 billion liras ($2.61 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,945.86 while Brent crude oil sold for around $74.82 per barrel as of 6.24 p.m. local time (1524GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 36.1020, the euro/lira exchange rate 37.7637, and the British pound traded at 45.1777 liras.
