Türkiye's BIST 100 closes Tuesday in red

Türkiye's benchmark stock index finished Tuesday at 8,618.57 points, falling 0.52% from the previous close.

After starting the day at 8,714.65 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 45.31 points with a daily transaction volume of 68 billion liras ($1.97 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,746.45, while Brent crude oil sold for around $75.70 per barrel as of 6.14 p.m. local time (1514GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 34.3393, the euro/lira exchange rate was 37.4539, and the British pound traded at 44.6268 liras.
