Türkiye's BIST 100 closes Tuesday in the green

Türkiye's benchmark stock index finished Tuesday at 9,758.14 points, surging 1.89% from the previous close.

After starting the day at 9,611.59 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 180.68 points with a daily transaction volume of 70 billion liras ($2.05 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,601.40, while Brent crude oil sold for around $73.45 per barrel as of 6.17 p.m. local time (1517GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 34.0966, the euro/lira exchange rate was 37.9127, and the British pound traded at 44.9198 liras.
