Türkiye's BIST 100 closes Tuesday on low note

Türkiye's benchmark stock index closed Tuesday at 10,095.58 points, falling 1.58% from the previous close.

Ending its ninth session of a winning streak, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 158.36 points with a daily transaction volume of 105.9 billion liras ($3.04 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,712.86, while Brent crude oil sold for around $72.17 per barrel as of 6.11 p.m. local time (1511GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 34.7885, the euro/lira exchange rate 36.5994, and the British pound traded at 44.3313 liras.
