Türkiye's BIST 100 down at Thursday close

Benchmark index falls 71.27 points from previous close

Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Thursday at 10,279.69 points, falling 0.69% from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 lost 71.27 points from Wednesday's close of 10,350.96 points.

The total market value of BIST 100 was around 8.8 trillion liras ($273.7 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 84 billion liras ($2.6 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,396.40, while Brent crude oil sold for around $79.67 per barrel as of 6.30 p.m. local time (1530GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 32.2380, the euro/lira exchange rate 35.0918, and the British pound traded at 41.2163 liras.
