Türkiye's BIST 100 flat at midweek close

Türkiye's benchmark stock index dropped slightly by 0.05% to close Wednesday at 11,134.08 points, ending its three-session winning streak.

After starting the day at 11,152.32 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 5.26 points from Tuesday's close with a daily transaction volume of 98.7 billion liras ($2.98 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,462.75, while Brent crude oil sold for around $84.94 per barrel as of 6.14 p.m. local time (1514GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 33.0915, the euro/lira exchange rate 36.1648, and the British pound traded at 43.0367 liras.
