Türkiye's BIST 100 hits fresh closing high

Türkiye's benchmark stock index notched a fresh record closing high on Thursday at 9,242.15 points, hiking 1.87% from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 gained 170,08 points from Wednesday's close of 9,072.08.

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,012.85 while Brent crude oil sold for around $82.63 per barrel as of 6.41 p.m. local time (1541GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 30.7406, the euro/lira exchange rate was at 33.2139, and the British pound traded at 38.6907 liras.
