Türkiye's BIST 100 hits fresh record closing high on Tuesday

Türkiye's benchmark stock index notched a record closing high on Tuesday at 10,895.25 points, increasing 1.45% from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 gained 155.68 points from Monday's close of 10,643.58 points.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 9.3 trillion liras ($ 2790.2 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 215 billion liras ($6.69 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,426.95, while Brent crude oil sold for around $82.54 per barrel as of 18.54 local time (1554GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 32.1934, the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 34.9768, and the British pound traded at 40.9086 liras.
