Türkiye's BIST 100 hits record closing high on Thursday

Türkiye's benchmark stock index rallied 2.62% to notch a record closing high of 11,024.33 points on Thursday.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 281.03 points from Wednesday's close with a daily transaction volume of 103.9 billion liras ($3.16 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,426.25, while Brent crude oil sold for around $85.45 per barrel as of 6.22 p.m. local time (1522GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 32.8340, the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 35.8585, while the British pound traded at 42.4270 liras.
