Türkiye's BIST 100 index closes Monday in the green

Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Monday at 8,471.70 points, up 1.50% from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 gained 125.42 points from Friday's close of 8,346.28.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 7.2 trillion liras ($237.5 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 115 billion liras ($3.78 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,043.60 while Brent crude oil sold for around $82.05 per barrel as of 6.55 p.m. local time (1555GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 30.34.61, the euro/lira exchange rate was at 32.7952, and the British pound traded at 38.4574 liras.
