Türkiye's BIST 100 index closes Monday in the red

Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Monday at 10,656.96 points, extending losses to the third session.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 lost 19.69 points or 0.18% from Friday's close of 10,676.65 points.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 9.1 trillion liras ($283.7 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 90 billion liras ($2.80 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,355.25 while Brent crude oil sold for around $82.93 per barrel as of 6.50 p.m. local time (1550GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 32.1771, the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 34.9576, while the British pound traded at 41.0980 liras.
