Türkiye's BIST 100 index closes Monday with gains

Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Monday at 10,556.80 points, rising 1.50% from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 gained 156.32 points from Friday's close of 10,556.80 points.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 9 trillion liras ($281.2 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 115 billion liras ($3.57 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,361.90 while Brent crude oil sold for around $78.31 per barrel as of 6.55 p.m. local time (1555GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 32.1957, the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 35.0883, while the British pound traded at 41.1839 liras.
