Türkiye's BIST 100 index closes Thursday looking up

Türkiye's benchmark stock index closed Thursday at 7,396.34 points, rising 1.87% from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 135.90 points from the midweek's close.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 6.3 trillion Turkish liras ($212.6 billion), with a daily trading volume of 59 billion liras ($1 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,089.80, while Brent crude oil sold for around $79.10 per barrel as of 6.10 p.m. local time (1510GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 29.4511, the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 32.7071, while a British pound traded for 37.5975 liras.
