Türkiye's BIST 100 index closes Thursday looking up

Türkiye's benchmark stock index closed Thursday at 7,547.84 points, rising 1.83% from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 135.80 points from the midweek's close.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 6.4 trillion liras ($216.6 billion), with a daily trading volume of 74 billion liras ($2.47 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,053.45, while Brent crude oil sold for around $78.06 per barrel as of 6.33 p.m. local time (1533GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 29.7594, the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 32.7268, while a British pound traded for 37.8086 liras.
