Türkiye's BIST 100 index closes Tuesday with gains

ANKARA (AA) — Türkiye's benchmark stock index rose 0.53% to close Tuesday at 10,051.37 points, ending its five-session losing streak.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 gained 53.46 points from Monday's close of 9,997.91 points.

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,330.95, while Brent crude oil sold for around $81.64 per barrel as of 6.08 p.m. local time (1508GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 32.3584, the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 34.7510, while the British pound traded at 41.1602 liras.
