Türkiye's BIST 100 index closes Tuesday with loses

Benchmark index falls 82.63 points at daily close, notching its 3-session winning streak

Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Tuesday at 7,736.26 points, falling 1.06% from the previous close.

After notching its three-session winning streak, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 dropped 82.63 points from Monday's close of 7,818.89.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 6.6 trillion Turkish liras ($220.6 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 99 billion Turkish liras ($3.29 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,040.55, while Brent crude oil sold for around $76.95 per barrel as of 6.21 p.m. local time (1521GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 29.9401, the euro/lira exchange rate was at 32.7969, and the British pound traded at 38.0773 liras.
