Türkiye's BIST 100 index closes Tuesday with losses

Benchmark index falls 60.08 points at daily close

Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Tuesday at 7,950.06 points, falling 0.75% from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 dropped 60.08 points from Monday's close of 8,010.14

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 6.74 trillion Turkish liras ($221.3 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 91 billion liras ($3 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,025.25 while Brent crude oil sold for around $79.91 per barrel as of 6.16 p.m. local time (1516GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 30.2762, the euro/lira exchange rate was at 32.8726, and the British pound traded at 38.4022 liras.
