Türkiye's BIST 100 index closes Wednesday in green

ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index closed Wednesday at 7,528.57 points, rising 0.19% from the previous close.

After starting the day at 7,568.86 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 14.47 points from Tuesday's close.

The lowest value of the index during the day was 7,297.00, while its daily high was 7,597.82.

The total market value of BIST 100 was around 6.5 trillion liras ($229 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 95 billion liras ($3.37 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $1,993.75, while Brent crude oil sold for around $86.67 per barrel as of 6.15 p.m. local time (1515GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 28.3308, the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 29.9130, while the British pound traded at 34.4198 liras.
