Türkiye's BIST 100 index down at Friday close

Türkiye's benchmark stock index closed Friday at 10,400.48 points, falling 0.77% from the prior close.

Starting the day at 10,481.30 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index dropped 80.82 points from Thursday close.

On a weekly basis, the index lost 2.59% as of Friday close.

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,351.00, while Brent crude oil sold for around $81.39 per barrel as of 6.32 p.m. local time (1532GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 32.2146, the euro/lira exchange rate was 34.9411, and the British pound traded at 40.9934 liras.
