Türkiye's BIST 100 index down at Monday close

ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index closed Monday at 9,626.56 points, falling 1.01% from the previous day.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 97.94 points, with a daily trading volume of 66.3 billion liras ($1.88 billion).

As of 6.20 pm local time (1520GMT), the price of an ounce of gold stood at $2,628.09, while Brent crude oil was priced around $72.03 per barrel.

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 35.2160, the euro/lira at 36.6034, and the British pound traded for 44.1133 liras.
