Türkiye's BIST 100 index down at weekly close

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Friday at 10,924.53 points, falling 1.34%.

After starting the day at 11,082.74 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index dropped 148.74 points from Thursday's close.

The lowest value was 10,868.99, while the daily high was 11,092.91.

The market value of BIST 100 was around 10.18 trillion Turkish liras ($242.1 billion), with a daily trading volume of 144.7 billion Turkish liras ($3.42 billion).

Some 79 stocks on the index declined and 20 rose, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $3,989.75 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $63.60 per barrel as of 6.20 pm local time (1520GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 42.2135, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate 48.9725, while the British pound traded for 55.6425 Turkish liras.
