Türkiye's BIST 100 index ends Thursday in red

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Thursday at 10,837.30 points, down 0.31%.

Starting the day at 10,907.44 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 33.78 points from Tuesday's close.

The lowest value of the index was 10,824.57, while the daily high was 10,945.97.

The market value of the BIST 100 was around 10.1 trillion Turkish liras ($241.39 billion), with a trading volume of 121 billion liras ($2.88 billion).

Some 63 stocks on the index rose and 35 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $4,000 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $64.2 per barrel as of 6.30 pm local time (1530GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 41.9770, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate 48.6960, and the British pound traded for 55.3815 liras.
