Türkiye's BIST 100 index ends Thursday on positive note

Benchmark stock index earns 48.24 points at close

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Thursday at 11,335.05 points, increasing 0.43% from its previous close.

Starting the day at 11,317.94 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 48.24 points from Wednesday's close.

The lowest value of the index was 11,307.70, while the daily high was 11,385.18.

The market value of BIST 100 was around 10.64 trillion Turkish liras ($249.4 billion), with a daily trading volume of 117.5 billion liras ($2.75 billion).

Some 56 stocks on the index rose and 36 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold's price was $4,325.95 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $59.80 per barrel as of 6.20 pm local time (1520GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 42.7325, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate 50.1950, and the British pound traded for 57.3965 liras.
