Türkiye's BIST 100 index ends week at record closing high

Türkiye's benchmark stock index rose 0.15% to end the week at all-time high closing of 11,156.20 points.

After starting the day at 11,144.59 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 16.74 points at Friday close with a daily transaction volume of 113.9 billion liras ($3.45 billion).

On a weekly basis, the index gained 0.83% as of Friday's close.

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,407.80, while Brent crude oil sold for around $84.22 per barrel as of 6.22 p.m. local time (1522GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 33.0571, the euro/lira 36.0334, while a British pound traded for 42.7118 liras.
