Türkiye's BIST 100 index ends week at record high

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Friday at 11,372.33 points, up by 0.52%, an all-time high closing level.

Starting the day at 11,347.392 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 58.43 points from Thursday's close.

The lowest value was 11,289.53, while the daily high was 11,398.27, an all-time high.

The market value of BIST 100 was around 10.56 trillion Turkish liras ($258.48 billion), with a trading volume of 146 billion Turkish liras ($3.57 billion).

Some 57 stocks on the index rose and 40 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $3,368.90 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $67.10 per barrel as of 6.50 pm local time (1550GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 41.0080, and the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was 48.0790, while the British pound traded for 55.5290 Turkish liras.
