Türkiye's BIST 100 index ends week on high note

ANKARA (AA) — Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended the week at 7,853.36 points, up 0.93% from the previous close.

Starting the day at 7,786.08 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 gained 72.68 points from Thursday's close.

The index increased by 1.06% on a weekly basis as of Friday's close.

The price of an ounce of gold was $1,984.80, while Brent crude oil sold for around $79.11 per barrel as of 6.04 p.m. local time (1504GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 28.6967, the euro/lira exchange rate at 31.2206, and the British pound traded at 35.6476 liras.
