Türkiye's BIST 100 index ends week on low note

ANKARA (AA) — Türkiye's benchmark stock index closed Friday at 10,473.47 points, plunging 3.01% from the previous day.

Reversing its gains from the prior day, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 324.62 points with a daily trading volume of 83 billion liras ($2.49 billion).

On a weekly basis, the index dipped 3.84% at Friday's close.

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,470.80, while Brent crude oil sold for around $76.97 per barrel as of 6.31 p.m. local time (1531GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 33.2280, euro/lira at 36.3222, while a British pound traded for 42.5346 liras.
