Türkiye's BIST 100 index falls below 10K mark at Wednesday close

The Turkish benchmark stock index closed Wednesday at 9,915.76 points, decreasing 0.95% from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index fell 95.51 points from Tuesday's close, with a daily transaction volume of 81.3 billion liras ($2.32 billion).

The USD/TRY exchange rate was 35.0182 as of 6.22 pm local time (1522GMT), the the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 36.7271, and the British pound traded at 44.4662.

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,653.39 per ounce, while the barrel price of Brent oil was $73.75.
