Türkiye's BIST 100 index flat at Thursday close

Türkiye's benchmark stock index closed Thursday at 10,058.63 points, flat compared to the previous close.

Starting the day at 10,109.23 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was marginally up by 0.16 points, with a daily trading volume of 85 billion liras ($2.45 billion).

As of 6.44 p.m. local time (1544GMT), the price of an ounce of gold stood at $2,697.81, while Brent crude oil was priced around $72.60 per barrel.

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 34.8710, the euro/lira at 36.6076, and the British pound traded for 44.3372 liras.
