Türkiye's BIST 100 index flat at Tuesday's open

ISTANBUL (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 5,150.24 points on Tuesday, up slightly by 0.03%, or 1.31 points, from the previous close.

On Monday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index jumped 2.43% to close the day at 5,148.93, with a daily trading volume of 73 billion Turkish liras ($3.89 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 18.8651 as of 9.57 a.m. local time (0657GMT), and the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 20.1276, while a British pound traded for 22.6916 Turkish liras.

Brent crude oil was selling for around $83.22 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,847.45.
