Türkiye's BIST 100 index hits fresh record high at Monday close

Türkiye's benchmark stock index rose 0.15% to hit a fresh closing high of 11,172.75 points on Monday.

After starting the day at 11,182.64 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 16.55 points at Monday close with a daily transaction volume of 111 billion liras ($3.36 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,390.25, while Brent crude oil sold for around $82.17 per barrel as of 7.08 p.m. local time (1608GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 32.8981, the euro/lira 35.8365, while a British pound traded for 42.4645 liras.
