Türkiye's BIST 100 index opens Friday on positive side

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened the last trading day of the week at 11,388.31 points, up 0.17%, or 19.54 points, from the previous close.

On Thursday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 slightly earned 0.09% to close at 11,368.78 points, with a daily transaction volume of 111.5 billion Turkish liras ($2.71 billion).

As of 09.50 am local time (0650GMT), exchange rates stood at 41.1460 liras to the US dollar, 47.9905 to the euro, and 55.5235 to the British pound.

The price of an ounce of gold was $3,409.75, while Brent crude oil was trading at $67.50 per barrel.
