Türkiye's BIST 100 index soars 6.06% at close

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Monday at 11,000.26 points, jumping 6.06%.

Starting the week at 10,357.68 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 628.22 points from Friday's close.

The lowest value was 10,264.25, while the daily high was 11,008.39.

The market value of BIST 100 was around 10.22 trillion Turkish liras ($248 billion), with a trading volume of 201 billion Turkish liras ($4.85 billion).

Some 99 stocks on the index rose and one dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $3,667.10 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $67.15 per barrel as of 6.30 pm local time (1530GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 41.2880, and the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was 48.6130, while the British pound traded for 56.1940 Turkish liras.
