Türkiye's BIST 100 index up at Friday's close

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended the week on Friday at 11,311.31 points, up 0.69%.

After starting the day at 11,269.51 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 77.65 points from Thursday's close.

The lowest value of the index was 11,253.29, while the daily high was 11,330.97.

The market value of the BIST 100 was around 10.6 trillion Turkish liras ($249.3 billion), with a trading volume of 111 billion liras ($2.61 billion).

A total of 66 stocks on the index rose and 32 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $4,286.50 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $60.9 per barrel as of 7.30 pm local time (1630GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 42.6950, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was 50.1400, and the British pound traded for 57.3560 liras.
