Türkiye's BIST 100 index up at Monday's close

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Monday at 7,737.38 points, up 0.30% from the previous close.

Starting the week at 7,795.01 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 23 points from the last week's close.

The lowest value of the index during the day was 7,681.27, while its daily high was 7,868.74.

The market value of BIST 100 was around 6.5 trillion Turkish liras ($242.1 billion) by market close.

The daily trading volume was 168.57 billion Turkish liras ($6.2 billion).

Some 47 stocks gained value, while 53 lost.

The price of an ounce of gold was $1,940.95, while Brent crude oil sold for $86.30 per barrel as of 5.45 p.m. local time (1445GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 27.0530, the euro/lira exchange rate was 29.5115, and the British pound traded at 34.2540 Turkish liras.
