Türkiye's BIST 100 up at Friday close

Türkiye's benchmark stock index closed Friday at 10,025.47 points, rising 0.77% from the previous close.

Extending its gains to a fourth consecutive session, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 76.46 points with a daily transaction volume of 74 billion liras ($2.11 billion).

On a weekly basis, the index gained 3.09% at Friday's close.

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,634.31, while Brent crude oil sold for around $73.42 per barrel as of 6:48 p.m. local time (1548GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 35.2107, the euro/lira exchange rate was 36.7319, and the British pound traded at 44.3202 liras.
