Türkiye's Borsa Istanbul down 3.20% at Monday's close

ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index slipped 3.20% to end Monday at 5,170.97 points.

Starting the day at 5,401.57 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 170.99 points from last week's close of 5,341.96.

The index's lowest value during the day was 5,123.66, while its daily high was 5,416.73.

The daily trading volume was at 110 billion Turkish liras ($5.7 billion).

During the day, 16 stocks on the index rose and 84 fell compared to the previous close.

The price of an ounce of gold was $1,879.45, while Brent crude oil sold at around $80.70 per barrel as of 7 p.m. local time (1400GMT).
