Turkiye's Borsa Istanbul down at Friday close

ANKARA (AA) – Turkiye's benchmark stock index ended Friday at 1,990.75 points, down 1.61% from the previous close.

Starting the day at 2,013.91 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 32.54 points from Thursday's close of 2,023.29 points.

The price of an ounce of gold was $1,947.75 by market close, up from 1,922 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

The price of Brent crude oil was around $115.6 per barrel with a 4.6% gain as of 6.23 p.m. local time (1523GMT).
