Türkiye's Borsa Istanbul down at open

ANKARA (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index BIST 100 opened the week at 3,254.77 points on Wednesday, down 0.33% or 10.87 points from the previous close.

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 18.4934 as of 07.53 a.m. local time (0453GMT), versus 18.4840 at the previous close.

The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was down to 17.7314 from 17.7810, while a British pound traded for 19.7788 Turkish liras, down from 19.9630.

Brent crude oil was selling for around $84.59 per barrel, down 2%, while the price of an ounce of gold stood at $1,616.83.
