Türkiye's Borsa Istanbul down at Tuesday's close

ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Tuesday at 5,626.57 points, down 0.61% from the previous close.

Starting the day at 5,697.61 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 36.11 points from Monday's close.

The index's lowest value during the day was 5,610.43, while its daily high was 5,704.83, an intraday record.

The daily trading volume was 144.9 billion Turkish liras ($7.7 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $1,844.85, while Brent crude oil sold at around $84.84 per barrel as of 6.15 p.m. local time (1315GMT).
