Türkiye’s Borsa Istanbul flat at close

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye’s benchmark stock index stood at 2,648.19 points at the close of the second transaction day of the week.

Starting the day at 2,650.05 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index earned only 0.07 point from the previous close of 2,648.12 points.

The index’s lowest value during the day was 2,619.53 points, while its daily high was 2,656.17 points.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 2.15 trillion Turkish liras ($128.7 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 47.9 billion Turkish liras ($2.86 billion).

During the day, 48 stocks on the index rose, 48 fell, and four were unchanged compared to the previous close.

The price of an ounce of gold was $1,843.30, while Brent crude oil sold at around $120.43 per barrel as of 7.10 p.m. local time (1610GMT).
