Turkiye's Borsa Istanbul up 2.4% at close

ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkiye's benchmark stock index ended Thursday at 1,997.69 points, up 2.38% from the previous close.

Starting the day at 1,920.21 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 46.52 points from Wednesday's close of 1,951.17 points.

The price of one ounce of gold was $1,816.50 by market close, down from $1,845 at the previous close.

The price of Brent crude oil was around $88.60 per barrel as of 6.30 p.m. local time (1530GMT).
