Turkiye's Borsa Istanbul up at Thursday close

ANTALYA, Turkiye (AA) – Turkiye's benchmark stock index ended Thursday at 2,233.30 points, up 0.14% from the previous close.

Starting the day at 2,236.21 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index gained 3.15 points from the midweek's close of 2,230.15 points.

The index's lowest value during the day was 2,220.79, while its daily high was 2,245.03.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 1.8 trillion Turkish liras ($123.7 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 34.45 billion Turkish liras ($2.35 billion).

During the fourth transaction day of the week, 45 stocks on the index rose, 51 fell and four were unchanged compared to the previous close.

The price of an ounce of gold was $1,943.3 and Brent crude oil was sold at roughly $107.7 per barrel as of 7 p.m. local time (1600GMT).
