Türkiye's Borsa Istanbul up at Tuesday's close

ISTANBUL (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index closed Tuesday at 2,575.86 points, up 1.44% from Monday's close.

Starting the day at 2,557.11 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 36.66 points from the previous close.

The index's lowest value during the day was 2,550.77, while its daily high was 2,582.21.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 2.07 trillion Turkish liras ($120.14 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 36.1 billion Turkish liras ($2.08 billion).

During the day, 80 stocks on the index rose, 18 fell, and two were unchanged compared to the previous close.

The price of an ounce of gold was $1,840.65, while Brent crude oil sold at around $115.08 per barrel as of 6.23 p.m. local time (1523GMT).
